Today is recognized as IBCLC day and I felt compelled to share this:

Leaving a home visit in the Gorge today this incredible view of Mt. Hood inspired me to take a moment of gratitude for the deep appreciation I have for the work I do. It is an absolute honor and privilege to be invited into a family’s home during this precious time in their life to provide the care and guidance they need as they learn to feed their babies. My heart is so full. Thank you to every family I have served for your trust in me as your IBCLC. You are the reason I love this job so much.

Northwest Mothers Milk Bank in need of breast milk donations amid COVID-19 pandemic TIGARD, OR (KPTV) – Babies in the neonatal intensive care units rely on breast milk. But when breastfeeding isn’t an option, that’s where donated milk comes in.

We are still offering home visits at this time, especially for urgent needs. For now, we are not scheduling office visits in order to protect ourselves and others from potential exposure to illness.
Video consultations for lactation care can be very helpful but do come with limitations as all typical physical assessments offered are not possible. Please consider this as an option if you need support, we are here for you! Contact us to discuss logistics and scheduling.
