Some babies are just born knowing things. This little one came earthside into her Dad’s waiting hands and immediately looked around the room. She is rolling over, cooing, blowing raspberries, grabbed at the midwifery supplies while being weighed and  I swear she waved goodbye to us today at her 6 week visit! It’s not a contest. They all have their perfect pace, we did marvel at this precocious baby though!

The Alma midwives + team members have been putting in the work! Whether it’s walking, stretching, or cartwheeling like Laura, moving your body is essential. This is especially true during pregnancy!

You read that right! The uterus grows up to 500x its normal size during pregnancy. That’s like growing from a pear to a watermelon in 9 months.

• General Housekeeping & Maintenance
Although Alma is a natural beauty-she needs a lot of support to keep clean, safe, and within the health guidelines set by the state and our accreditation body.

🧹Job entails:
* Deep cleaning birth center, clinic and courtyard
* ”Room flips” after a family discharges
* Stocking and inventory
* Equipment cleaning & maintenance (sterilizing in autoclave)
* Heaps of laundry
* 10-12 hours a week
* Flexible hours ~nights/weekends/during week
* Hourly pay starting at 18/hr (training)
* Must live near Alma (1608 SE Ankeny St Portland) to come to building 3-4 times per week
* Must love to clean and have a sense of order/ organization
* Alma will provide HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens & other trainings

Experience with medical cleaning preferred.

* Fitness includes ability to carry 20 Ibs, stair climbing and hours on your feet (you get your steps in)!
