One Flag United

May 2, 2026 was Jerry's 386th consecutive days protesting while standing on the side of Hwy 101 in Lincoln City Oregon. He first began standing alone holding his sign about protecting the VA. Slowly towns people started joining him. Now, if you drive Hwy 101 through Lincoln City from 12 noon to 1pm be sure to honk and wave to Jerry and all his new friends. They are there 7 days a week. Oscar and I had the honor of joining then yesterday.

One Flag United will be well represented at the big No Kings 3.0 protest today in Portland, Oregon. We are handing out 6000 flags to protesters. "With liberty and justice for all. "

Yesterday One Flag United was represented by David Giles, Donna Heyting, and me at Ron Wyden's town hall meeting in Clackamas County. David and I led the attendees in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, then Senator Wyden presented each of us American Flags and certificates which said "This is to certify the accompanying Flag was flown over the United States Capitol at the request of Senator Ron Wyden in honor of (Mary Doak's)(David Giles's) care and genosity in giving more than 4000 American Flags to Oregonians to remind them that the promise of freedom, liberty, and justice for all really means ALL."

Sunday, January 4th a large crowd of protesters gathered in front of the Portland ICE center. For 2 hours over 100 people accompanied by musical instruments sang songs of peace and love. The crowd was lively, dedicated, and full of enthusiasm and determination. Portland's own frogs, dinosaurs, and unicorns joined in. One Flag United was there donating flags to all the participants.

One Flag United was at the Vancouver protest today. What a great group of people full of energy and enthusiasm. 100 flags were distributed to the protesters.
