But somewhere along the way, it's possible to become so attached to the good things God has given us that we begin living as though they belong to us.

We want the Kingdom without the King.

In Mark 12:1–12, Jesus tells a provocative story about a vineyard, some rebellious tenants, and an extraordinarily patient owner. It's a story that reveals the heart of God—and exposes something deeply uncomfortable about the human heart.

What does it look like to enjoy God's gifts without forgetting the Giver? And what happens when we stop living as owners and start living as stewards?

Mark 12:1–12 | The Kingdom Without the King

What do you do when you prayed… and the mountain didn’t move?

Jesus says, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Those are powerful words - but they can also be difficult ones.
Because most of us have prayed prayers we genuinely believed God could answer. Ie. We prayed for healing, or a relationship to be restored, or a door to open, or for someone we love to come home.

But sometimes… The mountain is still there.

So what exactly is Jesus promising? Can we “have faith in God” and still not get the answer to our prayers we were expecting?

This Sunday, we’re continuing through the Gospel of Mark and wrestling with one of Jesus’ most challenging teachings on faith and prayer.

We worship in rows, but we build community in circles.

There’s something powerful about sharing a meal together. When people gather around a table, walls come down, stories get shared, and community starts to form. Even Jesus chose a meal with friends to mark one of the most meaningful moments of his life (Matthew 26:17–30).

That’s the spirit of our potluck - simple, relaxed, and open to everyone.

So whether you’re brand new to church, or have been around for a while, you’re invited. Come as you are, bring what you can, and we’ll have a spot saved just for you.

Because there’s always room for one more at God’s table.

What to bring Sunday, May 31st after 10a worship (if you’re able):

Households of 3 or more: a main dish (casserole, chicken, pasta, etc.)
Households of 1–3: a side (salad, fruit/veggie tray, dessert, etc.)

Women’s Retreat 2026 is underway! 🌊

This weekend is all about slowing down, tuning our hearts, and learning to hear the voice of God - together. From powerful worship sessions to meaningful conversations, from quiet moments with Jesus to laughter-filled time on the beach… it’s already shaping up to be something really special. 💛

There’s something sacred that happens when we step away from the noise and make space for Him. Our prayer is simple: that every woman would encounter God personally - clearly, gently, and powerfully.

Would you join us in praying for them all? Pray that hearts would be open. Pray that God’s voice would be unmistakable. Pray that each woman would leave refreshed, encouraged, and deeply known by God.
