These bowls from are probably the best thing you haven’t eaten in Portland 😌
Open for about a month, is the latest concept from Top Chef , and man does he know how to build a great bowl, packed with perfect balance of raw to roasted veggies. Pictured: The Japanese Garden: Roasted carrots, charred broccoli, sautéed mushrooms, edemame, cabbage scallions, thinly sliced radishes, furikake, tamari almonds and a ginger poppyseed dressing. Swipe left to see the equally satisfying Paibted Hills bowl: Roasted broccoli, charred pineapple, sweet potatoes, grapefruit, jicama, avocado, pickled red onions, radishes, jalapeño, bed pollen and cilantro with a jalapeño cilantro vinaigrette, to which I added some . My mom, who is a pescatarian and generally not a fan of tofu, said it was the best tofu she’s ever had 😍😍😍 You can also add on chicken or avocado.
Each bowl comes on your choice of red quinoa, brown rice, river cauliflower or salad greens. There are also two other chef-designed bowls available, as well as a build your own bowl option. At $12, each bowl is a beast and easily can make 2 meals, making these bowls an incredible deal.
is located at 1120 SE Belmont, right across from new construction in profess, so go show them some love! I swear it’s some of the best healthy/deeply satisfying food around. You don’t feel like you’re eating healthy while you’re eating it, it’s rich and flavorful and hearty 🤤

You’re no doubt familiar with : I feel like it’s such a mainstay in the Pearl, and one of the first restaurants many of us went to when we moved to Portland. You also probably know that her neapolitan style pizzas (both at and ) are highly acclaimed, and her nostrana salad (available at both restaurants) is downright legendary.
But one thing I didn’t realize until visiting the new Lake Oswego location of last night was how strong the cocktail program is, and that it’s so central to the restaurant concept it’s in the name (the shaker of Oven & Shaker isn’t a nod to a salt shaker or a Parmesan shaker or simple well built furniture (🤦🏻♀️) but a cocktail shaker 🤯
I felt so slow at first when mentioned it to me, but enough of you replied in stories to say you didn’t realize it referenced cocktails either that I don’t feel so obtuse. Or at least not alone in my obtuseness 😅
The cocktail program is led by , who has been an important figure in the Portland cocktail scene for 25 years, influencing and developing bar programs in over 100 restaurants over the years. He was also the cofounder of and is a partner in everyone’s favorite bespoke s’mores spot 🤤
’s cocktail list at (Pizza) Oven & (Cocktail) Shaker is divided out by flavor profiles, which just makes picking out your drink so much easier. (Note: also does this too!) We imbibed on 4 tasty cocktails, and fell in love with the Pepper Smash and the Pineapple Trainwreck, which sold out halfway through friends & family night number 1 😯
And now as of Friday 9/17 you can enjoy it all at both the flagship Pearl location as well as the new location at 🎉 I know I kind of am not shutting up about it, but I’m truly so mesmerized by this suburban foodie upgrade 😍

Fancy food events went dark for the early days of the pandemic, so when opened and started hosting them again, it was truly the most thrilling treat ever. There’s nothing like sharing an outstanding meal with a table full of food lovers, and the energy when we’d all gone so long without it was downright electric⚡️

One of you guessed correctly! This beauty is the mushroom and manchego savory biscuit from , and it truly has one of the most buttery, impossibly tender crumbs I’ve ever tasted. Swipe left to see just how beautiful this dough is 😍 I promise, if you love savory pastries and mushrooms, this will knock your socks off.
Crema Cafe is located at 2728 SE Ankeny, and while they are closed for indoor seating, they have a sweet area setup on Ankeny, which overflows to the surrounding businesses seating in the a.m., since they’re not open that early. They also have a location in the .

Goof god I love these breakfast tacos. One brisket and one migas from and your morning is ✨✨✨ The migas is my favorite, which is crazy because it has no meat and it’s a bbq cart but 🤷🏻♀️ it’s REALLY good.

This bagel might just be the best burger of burger week. Cheeseburger in Schmearadise from : Caramelized crispy beef, secret sauce and American cheese whipped in cream cheese.
Note: I got it just as a regular ol’ bagel but they are offering it as a bagel sandwich for $6 this week too 🍔❤️

I’m from New England, and for me 4th of July was THE holiday. It was my mom ordering an overflow of lobsters from a local fish market, it was family sitting outside cracking those lobsters in the sun, and later hurling under blankets on our beach, peppered with bonfires and fireworks. I try to go back every year at that time, but obviously this year was not happening.
When I found out this 4th is July weekend the fine folks at we’re doing a special Maine lobster mini Lao set, I was beside myself. It felt a hug from home ❤️😭🦞
I enjoyed this stunner with a good friend and her kids tonight, and I can not recommend it enough. The lobster tail was smothered in turmeric and garlic, and I (as a staunch ‘melted butter’ devotee, was blown away by how perfectly those flavors complimented the sweet lobster meat. And I love that the claws were served more traditionally, so I got both jazzed up lobster meat as well as the sweet treat, in its purest form.
This special Maine lobster mini Lao set is running this weekend only, so get on it! It will feed you for days! See the page for info on how to order! 😍😍😍
Thank you for this incredible meal! @ Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine

Last year I had the extreme pleasure of experiencing the epic and stunning Lao Table from with some of my favorite food bloggers, and Farmhouse Kitchen might just win the ‘best pivot of the quarantine’ award by offering this Little Lao Table set for 2 to go! It features a lot of the same incredible dishes in the dine-in spread, fed us for days, and is pretty much the most stunning take out in Portland right now 😍
It was the perfect way to celebrate my little Duncan dog’s homecoming this week from his very scary (but successes ❤️) spinal surgery. I postponed starting the whole30 to enjoy this beast, and it was 100% worth it. And I wish I was eating it right now 😭
You can order either the original or a vegetarian Lao table set for delivery or pickup via . It was too epic for just one photo, so swipe to see the rest of it, as well as the full rundown of what comes in it! @ Portland, Oregon
