This week, Henry learned about one of our favorite programs.... our Library Pass Program! ✨
Through our partnership with the Portland Public Library, library card holders can request one free ticket to any available OLS show! Simply visit the circulation desk, ask for the show you'd like to attend, and the library will provide a pass with a unique code to redeem online.
To date, we've donated more than $26,000 worth of tickets through the program, helping make live music more accessible to our community.
This week, Henry secured himself a ticket to Sally Baby's Silver Dollars on Sunday, June 21!
Now THAT is sharing the music.

MaMuse "This Is The Venue" Album Release Tour!
📅: Tuesday, September 29
🎟️: Tickets are on sale now! https://onelongfellowsquare.com/event/mamuse-live/
MaMuse returns to OLS to celebrate the release of their seventh full-length album, This Is the Venue, a collection of songs that explores celebration, grief, healing, and what it means to be human in this moment. Blending rich vocal harmonies with upright bass, guitar, mandolin, flute, and keys, the duo creates a warm, expansive sound rooted in folk and gospel traditions. Alongside new music, audiences can expect beloved favorites like We Shall Be Known and Hallelujah, delivered with the connection, spontaneity, and community spirit that have defined MaMuse's concerts for more than two decades.
🎻 What happens when you take some of rock's biggest songs and hand them to a world-class violinist?
Find out on Wednesday, June 24 when Blue Violin brings Thunderstruck to OLS. Using live looping and bold new arrangements, he'll tackle classics from AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Charlie Daniels Band, and more.
It's part rock concert, part violin showcase, and unlike much else you'll see on our stage this season.

We're excited to once again partner with the North Atlantic Blues Festival, one of the longest-running and most beloved blues festivals in the country! 🎸
Now in its 33rd year, the festival returns to Harbor Park in Rockland on July 11 & 12 for a full weekend of waterfront blues, great food, vendors, and some of the genre's biggest names. This year's lineup includes a couple familiar faces to OLS audiences: Bobby Rush and Roomful of Blues, both headlining the festival after memorable appearances on our stage. Over the years, we've shared many artists with this iconic Maine event, and we're proud to help support a festival that keeps the blues thriving across the state.
If you're looking for a summer music road trip, this one's hard to beat: two days of music on the Rockland waterfront, a lively downtown scene, festival vendors, and the annual Blues Fest Club Crawl taking over local venues throughout the weekend!

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow night's Joe P show at OLS has been cancelled due to an important family matter.
Ticket holders should have received an email from us last week with information about next steps. If you can't find that email or have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
Thank you for your understanding. We're as disappointed as you are and hope to welcome Joe P back to Portland in the future!
This Friday, June 19th! 🔥
We're excited to welcome the great Rhett Miller back to OLS! Best known for his work with Old 97's, Rhett's solo shows offer a chance to experience one of Americana's great songwriters up close, with plenty of stories and songs from a career that's spanned decades.
Special guest Alice Carolyn opens the evening!

What a beautiful day to celebrate Portland's creative community. ☀️
On Saturday, three of our five LEAF Fellows took over the Old Port Square stage as part of Resurgam Music & Arts Festival, and wow, did they deliver! From Thomas Charles Clukey's power-driven Americana, to the funk-filled party that is Melvin Gradiz (& Band!), to Lolabelle's indie rock grit, the showcase was a pretty perfect snapshot of the diverse range of artists that make up this first LEAF cohort!
Huge thanks to Maine Academy of Modern Music and the Resurgam team for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a special weekend. And thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, caught a set, said hello, or just hung out with us in the sunshine. Til next year! ❤️

We're halfway to our goal, and the clock is ticking. ❤️
Through June 30, we're raising $30,000 through our Help OLS Share the Music fundraiser to support the programs that expand access to live music in our community. From free outdoor concerts and open mics to livestreaming, the LEAF fellowship, and our Library Pass Program, these initiatives help ensure more people can experience the joy of live music.
This week, we're highlighting the Library Pass Program. Through our partnership with Portland Public Library, library cardholders can check out a free ticket to any OLS show (subject to availability). Over the last three years, more than 600 Portland Public Library patrons have attended concerts through the program, representing over $20,000 in ticket value. Artists are paid for these attendees just as they would be for any other ticket holder. We've also partnered with several other libraries over the years, welcoming hundreds more guests through similar programs.
Access matters. We believe live music should be available to people from all walks of life, and the Library Pass Program is one way we're helping make that possible.
We're about halfway to our goal of raising $30,000 by June 30. If you believe in programs like this, we'd be grateful for your support.
