Portland's Independent Listening Room One Longfellow Square is a nonprofit listening room style music venue located in Portland's vibrant Arts District.
OLS presents over 200 concerts and events a year, including rock, folk, jazz, blues, Celtic, bluegrass, world, comedy, film and more. The venue offers intimate seating for nearly 180, a superb sound system, a full bar service and delicious treats. OLS is all ages, all the time.

Based in Baton Rouge, Noah is a fast-rising new voice in country music, with more than 50 million TikTok views and 300,000 followers already tuning in. Today, we’re introducing you to Jennifer Talon, a 16-year-old singer-songwriter who will make her OLS debut AND perform her original music with a full backing band for the very first time.
Jennifer has been getting involved in Portland’s music community this past summer, opening for Cilla Bonnie and Primo Cubano and recording her first single, “Fairweather Friend,” at Monaco Studios with support from Equal Measure Arts. Drawing from indie, pop, and alternative music, she’s also a guitarist, violinist, and pianist and is currently working on her debut EP.

We’re looking for Maine artists and bands who are early in their careers, but already have some momentum behind them. You’re writing original music, you’ve spent some time performing in front of audiences, and you’re serious about continuing to grow and ready for more opportunities, connections, and support.

Margo Cilker has built a name for herself as one of the standout songwriters in today’s Americana scene, with songs that pay close attention to people, places, and the details of everyday life. Her two albums, Pohorylle and Valley of Heart’s Delight, have earned plenty of critical praise, but we’re especially excited to hear these songs live in our room!

Tom Rush has been shaping American music for more than five decades, from his early role in the 1960s folk revival through the genre’s resurgence in the ’80s and ’90s. Known for his warm voice, distinctive guitar style, storytelling, and sharp sense of humor, Rush has influenced generations of musicians, with James Taylor calling him “one of my main influences” and Garth Brooks naming him among his top inspirations. A longtime champion of emerging artists, he helped introduce audiences to songwriters including Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, and James Taylor, and continues to tour and write today.
