We are sad to announce that after 8 great years, we are closing our doors. Huge thanks to our great members, friends and community that made Engine Room such a special place. ❤️
From day one, our intention was to build a soulful co-working community where talent, creativity, entrepreneurship and collaboration can thrive. It was a great success and we are very proud.

Sadly, we don’t have the means to evolve our physical space and business model to adapt to the new reality of open concept co-working in the age of Covid.

We wish everyone the very best. Stay healthy and safe and practice love and kindness.
Best wishes! ❤️ @ Engine Room

Engine Room is very happy to welcome member and talented writer and journalist Chelsea Conaboy!

For three years, she led the features report at the Portland Press Herald in Maine, editing coverage of the arts, books, food, sustainable living and health care. Her work also has appeared in Mother Jones, Politico, the Boston Sunday Globe Magazine, National Journal and more.

Chelsea is currently writing a book, to be published by Henry Holt & Co., about how neuroscience is rewriting the story of motherhood.

She lives in South Portland with her husband, fellow Engine Room member and talented photographer Yoon S. Byun, and their two rambunctious children.

Welcome, Chelsea!
