Call for artists: We are bringing back our q***r craft workshop series with more location options! Along with two Portland options, we have also connected with new spaces in: Biddeford, Lewiston, Brunswick, Lyman, and South Portland, if you are closer to any of these. Do you have a sewing machine you've always wanted to learn how to use? Join River September 28th, 3-6 pm as they teach how to sew a canvas tote bag at Ellard Studios in Lewiston! This workshop is truly pay what you can - recommended $10-20 if you BYO sewing machine and $40-50 to borrow the instructor's (only 2 available - email [email protected] to reserve). Indigo mushroom print canvas and plain white canvas will be available as fabric choices! (No one turned away for lack of funds.)
*The location, Ellard Studios, is at the top of a flight of stairs.

Why join Handmade Pride? We believe in a q***r Pride that is made for us by us, by listening to the most marginalized voices in our community.
What will be there:
•Q***r artists, performers, speakers, and community groups
•Family-friendly crafts for all ages
•ASL interpreters
•All tables accessible by wheelchair
•Affordable table fees ($25)
What will not be there:
•Corporate tables
•Drugs or alcohol
•AI art or resellers
•Intentional law enforcement presence (we will have trained de-escalation safety volunteers present)
Both protest and celebration:
Built for the whole community to be included

Join us April 12th, 5 - 7pm, for light movement with room for variations with a guided meditation throughout. Attendees may want to bring a mat, towel or blanket since this workshop will be at the Equality Community Center space rather than a studio. This workshop will be taught by Lu Suarez ( ).
