Such an inspiring message from, PSO competitor, Jen Parker
I started pole 3 years ago, on a whim. I was 39 years old and was starting to slowly rediscover myself after being in an abusive marriage for more than 9 years. I tried trapeze, then silks and both were fun but I didn't feel the same excitement until I took a pole class. After I took my first pole class, I was instantly hooked. Pole made me feel strong. Powerful. Both were things I didn't feel in my marriage. I also discovered a community of women who are caring and supportive. Last year, I entered my first competition after a year and a half of poling and took 2nd. This year, I've competed in 3 competitions and managed to witness how far I'm able to push myself to reach new goals. I never thought I'd be poledancer at 42, but really, life is full of unexpected surprises ❤️ .
