Hive mind 🐝 🧠 let me know your favorite spaces to see video art in the Cleveland area. I’ll be taking a social media break soon to focus on my new project 🌲 I’m recording electrical signals from trees, making music with it, and then create experimental films that go along with the music. It’s fun! I want to share it with you…. But where?! I’m curious if there are art spaces I haven’t even thought of that I could host future premieres. Let me know what you think. Thanks pals!

Tomorrow, April 4, from 1 -1:30pm. Please join me for a special, one time only performance at . I have the honor of collaborating with , FIGHT SONG, an installation of salvaged marching band instruments suspended from the ceiling that uses an EEG brain monitor to translates brainwaves into live musical compositions. Come hear my thoughts in musical form! I’ll share an improv, acoustic performance, interacting with the composition in real time. Akron friends! Let’s celebrate together on 4/9 at Summit Artspace 🪩❤️

Step inside the Summit Artspace building like never before. Attendees can explore current exhibitions and participate in a variety of programming, including:

Adult scavenger hunt to explore the building

Local musician Uno Lady (Christa Ebert) will serenade guests with lush, layered vocal
compositions on the third floor.

Rent for Cheryl () will perform live, bringing their five-piece band, whose style blends jazz, rock, folk, blues, and pop to the third floor.

A site-specific performance piece by resident artist Maddie McSweeney ()in the second-floor Forum Gallery will involve the artist sewing themself into a pantyhose-clad standing lamp. Once sewing is complete, she will remain stationary for the duration of the event. Viewers may turn the lamp’s actual light on and off.

An installation composed of improvised ambient electronic music accompanied by his abstract videos will be performed live in the historic wood-paneled stairwell between the 1st and 2nd floors.

Resident artist Althea Jones will lead a hands-on art activity on the first floor, helping
participants rediscover their creative spirit through gentle art instruction and a simple
finger-painting activity.

Enjoy a set from DJ Brain Wreck () as we close out the night with a Dance Party.

Our neighbors, The Green Dragon Inn (), will be on-site as food and drink vendors, with specialty cocktails and menu items for sale.

Our resident artist, Bobbie Donohew (), will be offering a 15% discount on everything in her studio from April 9-11. Visit her in studio #310.
