Drum track bounce from the Tascam 388 to the Tascam MS16, this is a project I’ve started working on as part of Byrd Tapes Vol. 2.
I got a typewriter to use on 7” records sleeves! This is going to be fun!
New studio addition alert! We now have a 3rd Presto 6N with another Grampian cutter head. Increased production times of 33.3%!
Shout out to the homie for helping with machining custom parts. He also makes records here in Portland on a custom built record lathe. Give him a follow!
Tevis Hodge Jr. performing Texas Gal live from Fortune Ave Studio, videography by Caelum Gay. Coming to YouTube soon!
Hello Instagram! Thanks for everyone that followed me from my last post, here’s a short introduction for those that are new. Also a little process video of me changing out and testing a new (to me) cutter head. Stick around to the end of the video to hear the results!
Did you know that record lathes can turn old CDs into a playable record?! This one was fun, you’re lying if you say you don’t like this song!
Want to win this playable CD record? Follow, like and tag a friend in the comments. I will send it to a random person that does all three!
I had the privilege of recording The Tree People last June where we tracked live to 12” records. We made a small quantity of LPs of the session and also posted the videos to Facebook. The full live album is available to stream where you listen to music. Sad to hear about the passing of Stephen “3handStephen”. We had talked about doing more recording and live record cutting. Keep 🎶Breathing with the Trees🎶 friend! 🌳🌳🌳

Photo dump from touring Andalusia playing the oldest continuously performed music genre in the world, Muwashshah. This music comes from the 10th and 11th century Andalusian peninsula. It was amazing to perform Muwashshah with the Cal Poly AME and all of its members. Great memories and friends were made, an experience I will never forget for the rest of my life.
