Back from our third year with a clearer picture of where hospitality is headed: cautious optimism, improving transaction activity, and a consistent message from owners about what they need from their design partners. Baysinger turns 30 this year! We’ll be celebrating this milestone by posting a project from each of our first 30 years.

Newly founded in 1996, our first project was a design-build collaboration with .construction for the expansion of freezer, cooler, and dry warehouses for Sysco Food Services. This was the first of several successful design-build projects with Andersen.

Robert and Jaime head to LA next week for our third year at Beyond the conference sessions, they’ll be in town the entire week of January 26-30 meeting with clients, partners, and peers—the conversations we value most. Reflecting on 2025, a year of partnerships and progress. This summer, Jaime and Robert joined Matthew in ownership of BPA, marking six months of leadership grounded in collaboration and client success! In April, the Emanuel Medical Center Interfaith Chapel welcomed its first visitors as a modern multi-faith sanctuary. The Tryon Creek Education Pavilion opened in September, a project honoring legacy, education, sustainability, and the original stewards of the forest through culturally inspired design. We broke ground on Paradise Park Fairfield Hotel and celebrated the opening of Pets on Broadway in Hillsboro. Throughout it all, our team stayed engaged in the industry, building partnerships and expanding our reach. Heading into 2026, we remain dedicated to well-crafted simplicity through design and client service.

OPB did a nice article about the new education pavilion building at Tryon Creek. Baysinger Partners was the Architect of Record. Designing this along with Veritas Design Group; working with Tryon Creek staff and board, especially Gabe Shoeships; and watching Interworks LLC build has been an amazing journey. Tryon Creek is a special place and a this is a special building. Excited to see the carvings being completed and can't want to have kids learning about the northwest in this building.

Portland Rock Gym brings largest climbing facility in the country to Beaverton Planned to open in September 2023, Portland Rock Gym's new Beaverton location is set to become the largest climbing facility in the country.

Revitalizing retail at Tanasbourne Town Center: Baysinger is assisting SITE Centers in creating space for a New Seasons Market and a much-anticipated west coast burger chain at Tanasbourne. We designed the site plan for the demolished area (formerly occupied by Office Depot, Barnes and Noble, and Starbucks) and entitled a newly created retail pad for the restaurant. Baysinger designed the remaining area into two tenant spaces—the 27,000 square foot shell for New Seasons Market and a 10,000 square foot tenant space. Our talented team includes AAI Engineering, MFIA Inc. Consulting Engineers, Lewis and Van Vleet, Inc. and Perlo Construction.

We're happy to share our design on the second location for Portland Rock Gym has been approved by the City of Beaverton's Planning Commission. Construction to start in 2023.
