Welcome to Lyman Moore Middle School where students, families, and faculty members are working together to support and engage each member of our community.
Lyman Moore Middle School is located in the North Deering neighborhood of Portland, Maine, a few miles from the coast and 50 miles north of New Hampshire. The school serves a diverse community within the Munjoy Hill and Washington Ave. neighborhood, as well as the surrounding area. Visit our classrooms or walk through our hallways and you’ll be impressed by the consistent and ongoing demonstration

Happy Birthday to our amazing assistant principal, Darralynn Jones! Thank you for everything do!
7th and 8th Baseball, Softball and Lacrosse Sign-ups have started. We are starting early to see what our numbers will be going into the season. If you are planning on playing Baseball, Softball or Lacrosse please see Mr. Darasz.
Weekly Art Club will meet this Thursday in Room 113. This will be the last time for this school year. If anyone has any projects they need to pick up, please do so at some point this week. Thanks!
Drama Club’s meeting this week will be held on Tuesday instead of Thursday due to a conflict with Ski Club. All cast and crew, including students on stage crew and styling, please meet in the cafe after school tomorrow from 2:50-3:50. The full list of Drama Club members is posted on the bulletin board in the middle hallway. See Ms. Tiffany or Mrs. Burrows with any questions, and make sure to check our Google Classroom for important updates.

Model United Nations starts up today after school in Mr. Hilton’s room.
BSU will meet on Friday in the library after school. All are welcome, bring a friend.
The Ski Club trip for Thursday, March 29th has been cancelled.

The final Chess Club meeting of the year will be after school today in Mr. Hilton’s room. Model UN starts the Friday we return from vacation. There’s no sign-up process. Just show up!
