One of our favorite ways to enjoy the spring is to get out there and explore local trails - and leave them better than how we found them!

Using what we currently have in our closets is the most sustainable option when it comes to outdoor gear. But for those that do need to get new gear for, we only carry brands that are committed to sustainable practices. We want people to feel confident in their purchases!

We have a great selection of hiking pants, sun hoodies, and other active wear to keep you comfortable and safe outside.

Portland Wheelers, Mandi Weirdmore, and Nomads Adventure & Active Wear are proud to celebrate the retail launch of their creative collaboration promoting inclusive outdoor recreation!

“Biking is for everyBODY” supports the work of Portland Wheelers while recognizing the many ways people can share in the activity of cycling. As an artist living with a disability, Weirdmore’s design offers an authentic celebration of inclusive outdoor recreation.

Celebrate the campaign with us at a meet-the-artist event at Nomads. Attendees can shop the limited-edition gear, meet Mandi Weirdmore, and see the trike Portland Wheelers uses to bring social connection and joy to the community.

From now until May 15th, you can enter your name into our raffle - no purchase necessary! Come into the store and add your name and email to our raffle jar. For the month of April, we are accepting unwanted socks as a part of the Smartwool 2nd Cut Program. 🧦 ♻️

What happens to your old socks after you drop them off at the store? Smartwool grinds them to create spools, which are then made into new products! We carry a few items that are a result of this program. So come on in, drop off some socks, and check out what your old socks can become!

Socks of all materials are accepted - just make sure they are clean.

Please join us for an evening of Meeting the Makers - an event co-hosted with Maine Outdoor Brands! Meet and mingle with representatives from some of the local outdoor brands we are proud to carry at Nomads.

As an independent, local business, we love supporting other local outdoor businesses and introducing them to existing and new customers.

We will have the folks from Flowfold, Mainers, Bixby, SamBob, Good to Go, and Map Adventures at the store to share a few minutes on how they got started. Ask lots of questions or share what you love about their brands over snacks and beverages!

There will also be special sales and maybe even some freebies for attendees! We hope to see you there.
