Masa Miyake opened his flagship restaurant Miyake in June 2007 with just his wife and one other employee. Initial guests braved the hole-in-the-wall exterior and sparse interior to try Masa's unique cuisine. Today Masa offers more of an elegant and modern experience in his new Fore Street location, which opened in July 2011. While the room is more modern Masa still offers his distinctive take on Washoku style Japanese cuisine.

We have a new sake on the menu!
Yamada Shoten’s “Everlasting Roots” is a Tokubetsu Junmai from Gifu Prefecture. Operating since 1868, this is one of Japan’s smallest breweries, known for utilizing traditional techniques of sake brewing with no mechanization and no artificial temperature control during fermentation.
“Everlasting Roots” is a full bodied sake with smoky and nutty aromas and flavors of melon, orange, and clove.

Update: after receiving an overwhelming amount of support from our staff throughout the day, we have decided to close Miyake and Pai Men tomorrow, 1/30. We are inspired by our staff’s willingness to make a sacrifice and are proud to stand by them and our community in closing the restaurants!
