RIP Steve Albini. One of my favorite engineers who was also in many great bands. So sad.

Mike Spine is doing a crowdfund effort to finish up album #11. Buy a pre-release to help him finish up!! Rob recorded Mike’s first LP at Haywire Recording Studio in 1998 and has worked on most of his albums since.

Many Portand musicians played on this as well as Mark Lanegan’s guitarist, Jeff Fielder.

This is happening. One of the best ever Portland bands (Thirty Ought Six) with one of the most consistent underground / cult followings will be re-releasing a remixed version of their original LP on Portland’s old school label Cavity Search. Remixed at Haywire and mastered at Bob Ludwig Mastering. See below for ultra fan packages with perks for early investors!

This is also a tribute to Sean, the singer/ bass player who is no longer with us.

Haywire’s website and email servers got hacked by Romanian metal heads trying to steal the business name. Just had to do a lot of yelling on the phone to get things back up and running. I’m thinking this election interference seems more realistic every day. And yes, they are using the Haywire name.

Unpacking our new Pro Tools HDX system, we’ll have a much much more powerful system next time you come record with us.
