Does it really matter to y'all if I make fonts in the in-between quarter-inch sizes, like 1.25", 1.75", etc?
It always seemed silly to me. I try to do my best to include .5" (if possible!), 1", 1.5", 2", and 2.5" and maybe 3". But I've long felt like the quarter-inch in-between sizes are overkill.
What say you, Hive??

I want you to know what you are really funding when you buy embroidery designs from me. Are you sitting down?

Ever since I've had any kind of platform on Facebook (which to me, 21K followers is a paltry "platform" but I still have trolls so here we are), there have been that 1-in-1000 or so who announce to the other 999 that I am a "SCAMMER!!" and "WAIT UNTIL YOUR FANS FIND OUT WHAT YOU'RE REALLY LIKE!"
Welp, I long ago burst THAT bubble. My fans already know what I'm like. I'm an alcoholic in recovery. That's one small part of who I am. I went live from my therapist's couch in inpatient rehab, for Christ's sake. Y'all funded over half of the 28-day stint. We know this, right?
So anyway, I've had it on my mind for a couple of years now that I want to write a guide/workbook/journal to the first 30 days of sobriety. There were two things stopping me from doing this: my own shortcomings as an alcoholic that led me to relive my own 30 days about a dozen times, and bills. Something has to pay the bills and for me, it's digitizing. And as more digitizers come onto the scene and in-the-hoop falls more behind as a trend and I fail to keep up with whatever-is-popular-now, that income also fails to provide me with "free time" to consider outside projects, no matter how fulfilling and/or lucrative they may be.
Staring down 7 months is no small feat, and I am in a very small-but-mighty place in life at the moment, so last night I located a Brand New Notebook in the little apartment, and I started writing out my brainstorms. I started. The work is underway. What's that they say about the first step? Yeah, that.
So as I release fonts, bag tags, and new ITH projects coming up in this fall season, I implore you to share my posts, comment, share your projects on social media, use my designs for classes, and help me attract new customers!
Because I want you to know that the money I make from digitizing is funding not only a couple hours' break to not worry about bills, but also this incredible thing that is now Going To Get Done. I know I am really good at digitizing, okay? Cat's out of the bag. But what you might not know is that digitizing is not what I was created to do. I was created to help others through writing. Help them see something they didn't before, help them relate to others better, help them stay sober, and more. That's what I was put on this earth to do. And making beautiful embroidery designs gives me a few hours' break to do just that.

That's what I'm really like, and that's what you're funding. I hope you're happy with yourself! 🎀🤣💜
