We’re excited to share that Peninsula Elementary has been selected as a recipient of a 2026 North Portland Fund Community Grant!
Our Roots & Shoots: Peninsula School Student Garden Program is one of 10 community-led projects awarded funding through the revived North Portland Fund Community Grants Program. This investment will help our students learn, grow, and connect through hands-on gardening, environmental stewardship, and outdoor learning experiences.
Congratulations to all of this year’s incredible recipients who are making North Portland healthier, greener, and more connected. And gratitude to the Portland Parks Foundation for their leadership and guidance. We’re honored to be in such inspiring company and can’t wait to see these projects bloom! 🌱💚

Before we get too far into summer madness we want to give thanks to the amazing volunteers who made so much magic happen for our panthers this school year. We have accomplished so much, and we couldn’t have done it without the time, care, and talent of our amazing volunteer community. From Fall Fest to Community Care Days, Pride Party and Field Day, these events simply wouldn’t happen without a fleet of dedicated volunteers bringing the magic to life. Thank you for signing up, showing up, and making the vision come alive.
