Thank you for the past 30 years! The past weeks were a true testament of your support. We are grateful to have heard so many of your stories about how our restaurant affected your lives in some shape or form. We couldn’t have wished for a better way to close shop than today. Thank you for your unconditional support! 🙏🏽❤️ We will keep you posted on any future projects we will get into.

Thank you everyone who helped us raise awareness about our restaurant the past 2 weeks. It has been an overwhelming past few weeks as you can imagine and we are truly grateful of the amount of support received.

A big thank you as well to the one who contributed to the GoFundMe page (https://gofund.me/0e7bcf64) in our favor and the hundreds of people who signed the petition (http://chng.it/khst9pHcwf). Your support means a lot to us!

Unfortunately, we decided, as communicated earlier this month, to close our restaurant permanently this month. As the premise needs to be returned by May 31, we will serve our last meal on Saturday, May 22.

The restaurant will be closed to customers due to a private event on May 19, 20 and 21 as we are winding down operations gradually.

We tried to cater food out of the door as fast as possible to our beloved customers. Unfortunately, we know that some of you have encountered issues tonight with your delivery app orders. We are sorry about that! We hope to serving you nevertheless in the next days left!

After 30 years in downtown Portland, it is with a great amount of sadness that we announce that our landlord, Parsons Farnell & Grein, has decided end of April to terminate our lease at 1026 SW Morrison Street. This means that we will permanently close our premise on May 31, 2021.

My wife and I, born and raised in Iran, decided to call Portland our home the past 40+ years. Today, at 73 years old, I am honored for this opportunity to serving our community for so long. We truly put our hearts and soul 6 days a week with successes and failures along the way.

The past 30 years were filled with great memories with our customers and friends but also some amounts of pain. It is no secret that the last year’s looting and vandalizing, in addition to the pandemic, really took a toll on all small businesses, including us. But outside this unfortunate event, we want to continue remembering the outpouring support we received after those events which made us stronger and gave us a reason to not give up in front of adversity. For that, WE THANK YOU, Portland!

Unfortunately, I wished the fate of our restaurant could have been decided in another way, other than by Mr. Parsons and his associates, our landlord. Every story has an end, but in life, every end is a new beginning.
