We provide safety and livability improvements for low-income homeowners in Portland. Other individual projects are performed throughout the year.

Each year Rebuilding Together Portland repairs 45-50 homes and 5-8 non-profit organizations in Portland. Rebuilding Together Portland organizes 1,600-1,800 volunteers from all walks of life to unite on the last Saturday in April each year to complete equivalent to $900,000 worth of improvements to the community on that day. These efforts are made possible with the help of a 10 member Working Board, financial contributions and the efforts of over 2,000 volunteers.

A home supports stability when people can move through it safely and remain connected to daily life.

This spring, and completed major improvements for a couple whose needs changed after one spouse unexpectedly developed Parkinson's and began experiencing significant mobility challenges.

Their team addressed two critical areas of the home: jackhammering and repaving an impassable driveway that had buckled 14 inches from tree roots, and installing a walk-in shower to make daily routines safer and more accessible.

These improvements support more than access. They help create comfort, dignity, and continuity for a couple who wants to remain rooted in the home they share with their dog.

Housing stability is built through many forms of partnership. Projects like this show what becomes possible when community partners contribute their expertise, leadership, and hands-on support to meet a homeowner's changing needs.

Thank you, and , for helping create lasting stability at home.

Some projects create benefits that will be felt for years to come.

This spring, and completed a major transformation for a 71-year-old homeowner who had spent years trying to finish extensive renovations himself. As the project grew beyond what he could physically and financially complete, key areas of the home remained unfinished.

Their team rebuilt and finished the kitchen and bathrooms, installing functional appliances, cabinetry, and other essential features that have restored these spaces to full use.

These improvements strengthen the home's ability to support the people who depend on it, creating greater comfort, stability, and peace of mind for the years ahead.

Projects like this demonstrate what becomes possible when community partners invest their expertise, leadership, and resources in long-term housing stability.

Thank you, BELFOR Property Restoration and Greystar, for contributing your expertise, leadership, and labor to help transform an unfinished project into a lasting foundation for the future.

brought together the expertise, leadership, and skilled labor needed to complete major improvements for an 85-year-old homeowner, including installing new windows and doors where they were broken or missing, along with new flooring to create a safer, more secure home.

These tangible improvements make a daily difference. They support comfort, security, and peace of mind while helping this homeowner remain rooted in the place they call home.

.performance_roofing continues to raise the bar for what partnership looks like.

A longstanding part of this work and a National Rebuilding Day award winner, they made an extraordinary contribution this rebuilding season with the donation of TWO roofs.

That kind of commitment delivers real impact. It means safer homes, stronger structures, and lasting stability for the families we serve.

This is what it looks like when a partner invests not just in the work, but in the people and the community behind it.

We’re proud to work alongside .performance_roofing and deeply grateful for their continued leadership and generosity.

National Rebuilding Day is possible because of the people who show up.

25 homes.
400+ people.
One day. Impact that will last for years to come.

And behind it all are volunteers who stepped in to work.

You gave your time, your energy, and your heart. You picked up tools, helped where needed, and showed up for neighbors you may have just met. Because of you, homes are safer, healthier, and more stable for the families we serve.

This is what community looks like in action.

To every volunteer, thank you. Your willingness to show up and give back made this day what it was.

This is just a glimpse of all who were involved. Every contribution mattered.

We’re grateful for you.
