After 25 years as a leader in Portlands art community June Fitzpatrick has retired
And the gallery closed in August at the end of the 2017 summer season. .........

Luxury handbag in the Makers of Lewiston Auburn exhibit

This month the focus is on the designers and makers in Lewiston /Auburn, from the traditional weaving mills and shoe manufacturers to the newer wave of young design entrepreneurs working from their studios. It's an intriguing glimpse into the changing face of a traditionally blue collar community that drew thousands of workers from Canada and now attracts edgy young designers producing high end fashion accessories.

Today, with help from Kim Convery, I updated the new website. It took much longer than I expected and only one item was updated.
Technology is very frustrating.

and now for something completely different.
For the fall semester the gallery will host a knitting project - a part of the MECA fashion design department. The space is filled with knitting machines and industrious knitters. Art meets industry.
