My name is Lisa Virtue, I live in Portland, Oregon and am a Career Coach for job seekers. I am wildly in love with nature and my little family. As a mom I make up songs for everything. Including counting to 20, which I taught my daughter from infancy. Thus this excerpt picture in the carousel above from the book.

I live with my husband, my daughter, and two cats. I have dealt with gender bias many times in my career -and life- and am determined to help my daughter’s generation continue to break away from that cycle so women can have choices.

During the pandemic I witnessed and experienced heightened gender bias. Career moms everywhere were feeling low and under appreciated. Thus, I coined the phrase: “Women empowering women begins at home”.

My daughter and her beautiful upbeat spirit inspired me to document a little of our own journey into an appreciation book for working moms.

She has been working with clay ever since and she has loved every second of it!

found her creative side with jewelry. While recovering from a rare neurological illness, she tried her hand at this creative outlet. Little did she know her need for occupational therapy (to strengthen her hands) would turn into a passion driven hobby.
