We have a NEW podcast called Sharing Culture and I canāt wait for all of yāall to tap in and listen!
Iām so proud of this project I have been working on for with , these conversations have been really dynamic.
Episode One drops today and it features my team mate, co- cofounder and Housing Director Lillian Green who does so many amazing things both at ECG and in the world. This episode is about how EGC got started, some of our goals and just enough shade to add some spice. I love working with this woman she is a powerhouse and her commitment to future generations is inspiring. This episode drops on all major steaming platforms about 1pm.
Episode Zero has been out for about a week and is a delightful conversation between myself and the brilliant where we talk about EGC, this new project and sharing.
I hope yāall are both inspired and become more empowered to share after listening!
Next weeks episode features my scandal and EGCs unofficial intern , and after that episodes will drop every other week!
Happy listening!

A better Portland is possible and itās going to happen when we all start tapping in and actively do our part. That means more voting. That means more community services and action. That means meeting your neighbors. That means sharing resources. Consistently.
Hiiiii again. I went radio silence post the May 2022 primary election due to exhaustion and frankly a lack of interest in saying much. The loss wasnāt particularly sad for me, but a rough loss for the future of Portland. I sent private emails and messages to thank folks and took space to breath, regroup, heal, and settle into my new place (we moved 10 day before the election, which was planned before I had even decided to run-my new place dreamy af ). I warned yāall I was a different kind of candidate and after giving myself to the public for nearly six months I needed a break. I needed to be with my kid, who the press dragged unnecessarily. He took that s**t hard. Heās fine now, but PDX press yall raggedy and your crappy antics were harmful to a child. I will never forget that.
I do want to say big thank you publicly to all the folks who helped on the campaign, staff, volunteers, those two genius teens I hired, everyone that donated and cheered me on. I appreciate yāall. I met some really incredible people campaigning and Iāll treasure that forever. It was amazing
Running for public office is ugly. Politics is a very unproductive dusty space that isnāt eager to actually make changes that better society or take care of people and it shows. Iām sure there is some politico will I will read that and be livid but itās true. I am glad I ran but itās not for me. I donāt really see me going down that road again. I also donāt see many more women, Black people, or radically caring candidates step up unless we as a community get more involved. About 30% of Portland voted in May. Thatās not a democracy and we canāt ask folks to give so much if we as a collective donāt show up and do out part. Itās a two way street. Also nothing changes if we donāt participate.
