Yesterday, McMurray from our FariaLearn team, visited Pasadena Christian School 🏫

Earlier this year, PCS made the leap from Curriculum Trak over to Atlas to refresh and elevate their curriculum experience. After a great intro session in May, the FariaLearn team stopped by yesterday to do a deeper dive into the essentials of unit planning and building out learning pathways.

Teachers and administrators across the Diocese of Jefferson City suspected that some standards were being missed while others were being over-taught. Atlas gave educators a shared view of curriculum across grades, subjects, and schools, making it easier to identify gaps, reduce unnecessary repetition, and strengthen alignment.

But diocesan leaders knew meaningful curriculum change would take more than new technology.

Their five-year implementation plan front-loaded professional development, paired diocesan leadership with a dedicated curriculum specialist, and gradually built the internal capacity needed to sustain the work.

Catholic identity was also built directly into Atlas unit and lesson-planning templates, alongside standards, assessments, and instructional strategies, ensuring that curriculum planning reflected both academic expectations and the diocese’s mission.
