My deepest thanks to all who served and continue to do so. Especially grateful for all my friends who ventured overseas and made it back. Thank you.
455 nice & easy(ish). Satisfying and rewarding end to a block of training hell. Didn’t look so daunting on paper, but turned into a slugfest to cross the finish line. Hit some encouraging numbers along the way but looking for to a long overdue deload. Body weight is up almost 15 # since summer and the extra padding was greatly appreciated and necessary. Hopefully I can tack on another 15 in the coming months.
455 nice & easy(ish). Satisfying end to a challenging but rewarding chunk of training hell. Didn’t look so daunting on paper, but it turned into a slugfest to see it through. Body weight has crept back into the 180s, almost a 15 # swing since summer and the extra padding is highly appreciated. On to a well deserved and long overdue deload, then we hammer down again to hopefully finish out the year with some new training maxes. Still, a young man in my prime!
Absolutely nothing in todays program called for a heavy single, but today marks 4 years since my pop passed on and I just felt like I had a little more to give. First rep at 300 since tearing my rotator cuff back in January of 2019. It’s been a long road back to this point, I’ll be damned if we stop here.
Getting back on the right side of heavy with a tidy little double at 430/90%. Eat well. Sleep well. Lift and get big.
The WCI thoroughbred….
Posted • I still lift. It’s a constant presence in my life, but not always my number one priority. I’ve been working on some weaknesses, and using it to support my lifestyle. Life is better and more efficient when you’re strong.

New rack really ties the gym together, does it not? Super stoked to have this new piece from and get the gym to the next level. Version 2.0 off to a hit start!
I don’t normally track every PR on auxiliary lifts…but I’m kinda stoked on this one. 267 on the Ox Bar with absolutely zero grief from a shoulder that’s usually cranky as all hell. Going deeper into the ROM with no discomfort or noticeable variation from the other side is more encouraging/exciting than the bar weight. It’s been a long time, it’s been a long road, it’s been a long process.
In unrelated news…Kentucky just made an official Colonel, so can suck it.
Easy money! has never looked better under bar. Turning squats into SKWAATZ!

Big congratulations to who seems to hit PRs as often as he changes his handle. One of the hardest working and consistent athletes on the WCI roster. Love seeing this dude succeed time and time again. A stand up man with a big heart of gold...congratulations my friend, you’re a force of nature!
