Let's be honest — when you started your business, "figure out the tech as we go" was a totally reasonable plan.
But somewhere between hiring your 10th employee, dealing with a Microsoft password crisis at 8am, and realizing nobody actually knows where the client files are backed up… it stopped working.
And the thing is, you probably know something feels off. You're just not sure what it is — or how bad it actually is.
That's the dangerous part.
If one or more of these top 3 signs made you stop and say, "Yep--that's us!"--you are overdue for a real conversation.
Our IT Health Check is a free call with Jordan who will look at your actual setup, tell you what's working, what's not, and what could genuinely put your business at risk.
No tech jargon. No scare tactics. No judgment.

Scheduling. Follow-up reminders. Sorting emails. Generating meeting notes.
Your team is spending real hours on tasks that Microsoft 365 can handle automatically — if it's set up right.
And here's the things--most small offices aren't using even 30% of what's already in their M365 subscription.
That's not a tech problem. That's a setup problem.
And it's exactly the kind of thing we look at in our free IT Health Check calls.

As businesses grow, security rarely fails all at once.
It drifts.
A reused password here.
2FA that never got enabled.
Logins saved in browsers because it was convenient.
None of it feels urgent at the time. You’re focused on hiring, selling, managing cash flow, and keeping momentum. Security becomes something you’ll tighten up “when things slow down.”
But growth rarely slows down — and attackers don’t wait for a convenient moment.
When something does go wrong, the cost isn’t technical. It’s operational. Teams lose access. Clients wait. Leadership shifts from strategy to cleanup. Momentum stalls.
The fix usually isn’t dramatic. It’s structural.
A proper password manager.
Consistent 2FA.
Clear, centralized access control.
Set up correctly and managed consistently, these systems remove guesswork and scale with your business.
If you’re unsure whether your current setup would hold up under real pressure, that’s worth a conversation.

If you have Microsoft 365, you already have a scheduling tool that could replace the back-and-forth email/phone chaos your front desk deals with daily.
And....most small offices have no idea it's there.
It's called Microsoft Bookings. Swipe to see what it does — and how much time your team could get back.
👉If you're curious if you're missing other simple ways to streamline your business, we cover this (and a lot more) in a free IT Health Check call.

A business owner once told us, “We’ve never had a security issue.”
And they hadn’t.
But when we looked closer, their passwords were saved in browsers across the team. A few were reused. 2FA was turned on for some accounts, not all. Access was removed when people left… mostly.
Nothing had gone wrong....
..yet.
But that’s the tricky part about cybersecurity--you don’t feel the gap until it’s tested.
A few weeks later, one employee clicked a convincing phishing email. The login worked in more than one place.
It wasn’t catastrophic, but it was disruptive enough to pull the team off course. People were locked out of systems, client communication slowed down, and leadership had to shift from growth mode to cleanup mode.
The fix, in the end, wasn’t complicated. It came down to putting structure in place: unique passwords across the board, a proper password manager to control access, consistent 2FA, and clear offboarding processes. Nothing dramatic. Just disciplined systems.
That’s the part most business owners miss.
Cybersecurity isn’t an IT 'preference.'
It’s a leadership standard — not because something has already gone wrong, but because you’re building something worth protecting.

Offboarding former employees is one of the most overlooked risks in growing businesses, because it's where most security gaps hide.
If you can’t confidently say who has access to what in under 30 seconds in your business, your systems need tightening.
At Campfire IT, we implement structured password management and access control so when someone leaves, access leaves with them.
If you’re not 100% confident in your offboarding process, let’s fix that.

Most business owners assume “it’ll probably be fine.”
Until it’s not.
If passwords are saved in browsers…
If there’s no centralized password manager…
If you can’t revoke access instantly…
Then one stolen laptop becomes:
-Client data exposure
-Emergency IT bills
-Damage control
-Reputation risk
Security isn’t about paranoia. It’s about preparation.
We help business owners build systems so when something happens, it’s handled in minutes — not days.
