Learning process over product. As an artist/maker my practice has primarily been outcome (product) oriented for me - unless I’m teaching, but generally beginning with a goal in mind and knowing what I want the finished piece to look like, I’ve been enjoying process more and learning how valuable my process is to me. I am so grateful for my sweet smootch Raleigh - his presence lights up my life!

Sometimes there are no more powerful words than
“ I forgive you “, may your heart, mind, and body know the sweet relief of sorrow and grief through forgiveness this season. Blessed we truly are.

Such profound inspiration in the unseen yet felt through the experience of being. When the unseen is finally seen all else falls away and only truth remains.
“Poetry is not only dream and vision; it is the skeleton architecture of our lives.” -Audre Lorde

The opening of Garden of Our Time: Vanishing Species and Imminent Communities was beautiful, fascinating, and both mind and heart opening. The show runs through the month and ends on October 8th, I highly encourage going and spending some time if you’re in the Seattle area.
I also just want to give a special thank you to my curator Haley Ha , and gallery producer Kristina thank you for your thoughtful consideration to every detail of this exhibition with not only my work but the work of the other artists as well. Your commitment and dedication towards matching the installation to our practices warms my heart, and reinforces the notion that this process can be as collaborative and fluid as we choose it to be. And an extra huge thank you to you Haley for your time, genuine support, and communication be it abroad, or local you are a rock star and I appreciate you and the attention to detail you offer in all of your work. Much much love for you. 🙏🏼💙🌀🌎

Work in progress complete, and I am completely thrilled to be sharing it with you. These colors are emanating directly from my heart and transcends the heat of the season and the humidity of my studio and mesmerizes me.
🙌🏼 Id mentioned this before in my work in progress post: “as I’m working away in the studio on this piece, I am struck by how just like my humanness and unintentionally I sometimes color outside of the lines, or overstep the boundaries I set for myself ~ life is ever fluid and this is such a simple yet poignant reminder that it’s okay. I’m human, I’m not a Saint, but I’m still pretty cool. 🎨🖌️” .
💗✨🤲🏼✨🌊 Now, as I’ve finished it, I feel some deep gratitude for the movement and capability of my body, my stamina, and the outcome. Palpable Pulp and Lasting Impressions continues to move and inspire me.

Beautiful and strong community effort went into preserving this gray whales skeletal structure. Such an experience to behold, dream and imagine the adventures once had by Gunther. Way to go Port Townsend!
