025 marked the third year of the John T. Gorman Foundation’s intensive focus on ensuring all Maine children are resilient and ready to succeed.
In a year shaped by uncertainty and shifting conditions, we responded to urgent needs while remaining committed to this ambitious goal by leaning into a two-generation (2Gen) approach to strengthen the well-being of children and their families. As our 2025 Progress Report reflects, it’s making a difference.
https://www.jtgfoundation.org/2025-progress-report/
Inside this new report, you’ll find:
--How the Foundation has directed its resources and assistance to support partners in implementing 2Gen strategies to support children and their caregivers simultaneously, while continuing to support critical stakeholder capacity and basic needs.
--How partners are strengthening supports for children and caregivers in key areas, building better systems, and testing approaches that could inform improved practice and policy;
--Emerging insights and recommendations as this work unfolds.

The ICE surge may be over. The housing crisis is not.
Tomorrow is February 1. Rent is due. And at least 653 households in Maine are at risk of eviction because they couldn't work during the surge.
You showed up: $250K+ raised in one week. 100 families staying housed this month.
But it's not over: ICE is still here with the same aggressive tactics. The financial damage will last 3-6 months. More families need help.
100% of donations to the Emergency Housing Fund = rent payments. No admin fees.

Community Update | Project Home
Raising thousands of dollars to help families facing immediate housing disruption.
That's what Project HOME is doing right now — with a goal of raising $250,000 to keep 100 families housed and supported.
In just five day, more than $200,000 has been donated to its Emergency Housing Fund, but there's still work to do to help these families cover housing costs at this critical time. Every dollar donated makes a difference.

Our neighbors are disappearing.
We're showing up.
Two days ago, we told you our community raised $180,000 in five days.
Today? We're over $200,000 and counting.
This is what community looks like. Every donation is keeping a family housed while they figure out what's next. Every share is reaching someone who can help. Every message of solidarity matters.
But the need isn't slowing down. With an estimated 1,000 families impacted due to the ICE surge, we can't either.
➡️ If you're able to give, donate here: https://projecthomemaine.networkforgood.com/projects/294520-project-home-emergency-housing-fund
➡️ Already gave? Share this post. Your network might include the next person who can help keep a family housed.
Community is the answer. Thank you for being part of it.

URGENT: Help us keep 100 families housed as ICE detentions rise
ICE enforcement in Greater Portland this week has left families unable to work—out of detention or out of fear. When income stops, rent goes unpaid. Eviction happens fast.
Project Home's Emergency Housing Fund pays rent directly to landlords to keep families in their homes.
What you need to know:
✅ 100% of donations go to rent
✅ Funds reach families in 48 hours
✅ One month's rent: $1,800–$2,500
Help us protect 100 families. Donate now: https://projecthomemaine.networkforgood.com/projects/294520-project-home-emergency-housing-fund

Quality Housing Coalition was founded on a simple truth: stable, affordable housing opens the door to good health and long-term financial stability.
Today, that understanding continues to shape everything we do. Above all, we remain driven by a deep belief in Maine’s people—and in creating thoughtful pathways that help each person reach their potential.
As our work evolves, so must the way we tell our story.
That’s why Project Home, already the name of our flagship program, is now the name of our entire organization.
You’ll see a brighter, more human-first look from us moving forward—one that reflects the heart of our mission and the people we serve. We’re always preparing for what’s next, and we’re grateful to have you with us.
