025 marked the third year of the John T. Gorman Foundation’s intensive focus on ensuring all Maine children are resilient and ready to succeed.

In a year shaped by uncertainty and shifting conditions, we responded to urgent needs while remaining committed to this ambitious goal by leaning into a two-generation (2Gen) approach to strengthen the well-being of children and their families. As our 2025 Progress Report reflects, it’s making a difference.

Inside this new report, you’ll find:

--How the Foundation has directed its resources and assistance to support partners in implementing 2Gen strategies to support children and their caregivers simultaneously, while continuing to support critical stakeholder capacity and basic needs.
--How partners are strengthening supports for children and caregivers in key areas, building better systems, and testing approaches that could inform improved practice and policy;
--Emerging insights and recommendations as this work unfolds.

The ICE surge may be over. The housing crisis is not.

Tomorrow is February 1. Rent is due. And at least 653 households in Maine are at risk of eviction because they couldn't work during the surge.

Community Update | Project Home

Raising thousands of dollars to help families facing immediate housing disruption.
That's what Project HOME is doing right now — with a goal of raising $250,000 to keep 100 families housed and supported.

In just five day, more than $200,000 has been donated to its Emergency Housing Fund, but there's still work to do to help these families cover housing costs at this critical time. Every dollar donated makes a difference.
