A bit of our progress after being in our new Portland tufting studio after 2 months, and a little reflection on where we were at a year ago.

Last year at this time, opening a studio was just a dream. When I finally did it, I wasn’t even sure it would work. I am extremely glad I took a leap though because it has been life changing in so many ways, and all the hard work has been worth it.

If you are in Portland, and want to check out the studio - we will be having a studio warming party this Sunday 4/26 from 3-9pm with free tacos, a community rug project, and discounted class offerings. I’d love to see you there 🙂

Come and take a rug making workshop at to see what all the fuzz is about. We set everything up for you, teach you how to tuft, then we finish and return your custom rug to you. Beginner friendly, kids 10+ welcome, great for a solo or group activity. We just moved to a new studio in Portland, and have been hard at work to make the space ours.

has moved to a new location! We’re extremely excited to share our new space with all of those interested in the art of rug making. We’re still working to make the space exactly what we want, in the meantime - we invite you to join us on the journey and take a tufting class with us.

We will be having an opening party near the end of April, and will post more about that soon.

I’m learning to get over my fear of being in front of the camera, but watching these back I could only hear myself say um, uh, and other filler words. I’m blaming it on being up at 4am, but it’s probably just the way things are. I’ll get better, hopefully.

Big news! I am opening a tufting studio (yet to be announced) located with studio mates .art !

I have been teaching tufting workshops out of my home studio for a year and a half or so, and I’ve simply outgrown my space. It’s time to separate the two, and I’ve found an amazing community of likeminded artists to join. Making art full time is a pretty isolating endeavor, so it’s going to be really nice to host larger groups of people, put on events and art shows, and just participate in what this place already has going on.

I’ve been working really hard recently to get the space ready, while staying on top of my own rug projects. I will have more to announce in the near future, along with an opening party, website, and a bunch more options to make tufting more accessible to the community.
