We recently replaced this old, worn-out entry door with a beautiful new Therma-Tru entry door, giving the home a fresh updated look while improving energy efficiency, security, and curb appeal.

As with all of our door installations, we carefully removed the existing door, inspected the opening for any signs of moisture intrusion or dry rot, properly flashed and sealed the opening, and installed the new door to help ensure long-term performance and protection from the Pacific Northwest weather.

Another project in progress in Milwaukie, Oregon!
A homeowner reached out to us to replace one leaking window on the front of their house due to water intrusion. After taking a closer look, we discovered the real issue wasn’t the window itself.
The problem was missing kick-out flashing where the roof meets the wall and gutter, which allowed water to run down the siding instead of directing it into the gutter. Over time, that caused minor dry rot behind the siding.
Luckily we caught it early before the damage became major.
The homeowner decided to go ahead and update the entire front of the house while we had everything opened up. We:
• Installed a beautiful new large window
• Repaired the minor dry rot
• Installed new HardiePlank siding
• Added proper flashing and weatherproofing so everything is sealed correctly
Now the water will be directed properly and the home is protected for years to come.
The front of the house already looks amazing, and once it's painted it will look even better.

Aurora, Oregon — Project Completion

A full window replacement (25 openings) has now been completed on this brick-accented residence.
The home has been upgraded with black Milgard Tuscany Series windows, introducing sharper architectural contrast while improving overall energy performance. Each opening was carefully integrated and sealed to ensure long-term durability and a fully watertight envelope.

During the installation process, concealed water damage was discovered along one elevation. The affected wall was removed to the framing, new structural sheathing installed, and the assembly rebuilt using proper weather-resistant barriers and flashing methods. The exterior was then finished with new 5" reveal James Hardie fiber cement siding, installed to manufacturer specifications for both longevity and clean visual alignment.

The siding is now prepared for paint, which the homeowners will complete to personalize the final aesthetic.

The result: a structurally sound, properly sealed exterior with refined contrast and renewed architectural presence.

Project update – Aurora, Oregon.

The window installation on the brick façade is progressing smoothly, with all brick openings completed and properly integrated.
During the process, we identified concealed water intrusion behind an adjacent wall. Even fiber-cement siding, when not installed correctly, can allow moisture in over time—unfortunately resulting in dry rot on this section of the home.
To protect the integrity of the structure, the project timeline was extended slightly so we could remove and replace the affected wall, repair the underlying damage, and reinstall new HardiePlank siding using proper weather-resistant barriers, flashing details, and correct installation methods to achieve a clean finish and a fully weathertight seal.
Catching issues like this earlier can often save homeowners thousands of dollars in future repairs. While unexpected, this correction allows the home to receive a refreshed exterior on this elevation and the assurance that everything is sealed and built correctly.
