Battery swell or puffing is one of the big things we often see in systems that have come in for a unrelated repair. This can be dangerous as the swelling can get worse all of the sudden. Leaks and even the potential of rupture are possible. If your Mac is showing a battery notice, is sitting oddly on a table or the trackpad showing oddness these can be signs of this issue and you want to have it addressed ASAP. It’s not only a symptom of older Macs…we’ve seen it even on newer Macs too.
