As short session begins today, we look to our legislature to pass additional investments in affordable housing and a workforce package that focuses on racial equity. "We never cross a picket line"-- my mom teaching me about unions. Be like my mom, don't cross the picket line and support our essential workers of UFCW Local 555. You have other options to shop in the region, please use them. And don't miss the message about housing wage jobs-- people should be able to live in the communities where they work.

We are getting to the time of year that is even more dangerous for our neighbors still sleeping outside. Please do a quick inventory of gently used items you are able to donate or buy new items. When I was working in shelter and street outreach, we could not keep enough socks, gloves, blankets, and shoes in stock to serve everyone in need. Please consider donating this year.

Donations & Volunteering — 211info This page is updated in partnership with the Multnomah County Joint Office on Homeless Services. It is updated as 211info is informed of the donation needs of individual organizations.

My first week of house parties was a smash! Thank you to everyone who came to talk with me as we continue to build this campaign! Every conversation reminds me why I'm fighting to be the next chair and bring leadership to the county to move us toward racial justice, housing justice, healthy justice, and climate justice. Special thanks to my hosts for bringing people together!

If you want to host a house party, let me know so we can keep building the family!
