I finished up my certification courses and now I’m ready to take on more pelvic floor patients! I didn’t want to get the word out there until I finished up everything just in case there was something that I was able to help a patient with and then they brought up something else that I was not able to help them with yet because I didn’t know all of the material. Help me by spreading the word if you would like as I know this is such a private matter for people!

Some pictures of improper and proper sitting posture! I always mention to my patients to roll a jacket or a small pillow and place it behind the small of your back. Also your hips and knees should be at a 90 degree angle while your shoulders and arms should be in a rested position. Make sure you are not hiking your shoulders. Also if you are looking at a computer make sure your head/eyes are looking straight at it and your head does not have to maintain a rotated position. Remember posture IS KEY! Keep your head up and if you sit for extended periods of time try to get up and move around. Do some stretching while your sitting and standing when you can to keep muscles from getting tight! Let me know if you have any questions on your seated posture!

I always tell my patients if your doing something everyday incorrect, physical therapy will help but it may only help slightly. If your sleeping posture is incorrect, fix it! This could help tremendously! Let me know if you have questions about your sleeping posture!
