Found the Stairway to Heaven atop North America’s tallest sand dune

When you have the sand dunes to yourself for sunset

I actually felt bad scattering footprints across this arid desert landscape, but thankfully the high winds quickly covered them up

Don’t let the serenity of this shot fool you, the break in the clouds was short-lived. The peak was no longer visible seconds later, but the brief moment of bliss made it all worth it.

There’s something truly peaceful about having a canyon to yourself, highly recommend 👌🏼
