Part 2: Finishing the mesh banners headed to the Bahamas Carnival 🎭🌴

The printing may be what everyone notices, but the finishing is what helps these banners perform in the real world.

Before installing grommets, we reinforced the perimeter of each mesh banner using 1” banner hem tape. Hemming creates a stronger edge by folding and reinforcing the material, helping distribute tension across the banner instead of concentrating stress on the edges. This is especially important for large-format mesh banners that will be installed outdoors and exposed to wind.

Once the hems were completed, we used our heavy-duty hand grommet machine to install grommets throughout the banners. Grommets create secure attachment points for zip ties, rope, bungees, and other installation hardware while helping reduce the risk of tearing during installation and use.
