Signs from God are everywhere 🤎 came to my home this week to film for a documentary they are producing and and her team did such an incredible job of asking questions that made me re-evaluate my divine purpose after surviving the Pulse Nightclub shooting. The deeper why I survived is something I’ve contemplated a lot, but I know it’s connected to inspiring other survivors to keep their light on, and reframe their identity, from survivor mentality to champion mentality. To keep believing that beautiful things can happen for them even after tragedy. To dream big dreams. I can’t wait for this documentary to be released because I believe it gives a well rounded picture of the journey so far, and everything I learned. But I am so grateful for this moment because I realized - I have so much more to do to help others. And that was the biggest sign and confirmation I needed. 🙏🏾🤎 Reminder: Your voice carries weight, and your testimony is needed.

Her story embodies beauty and transformation. ✨🌸 I had the honor of meeting at the and grabbing her book “The Voices of my Wounds,” her journey is so remarkable. In many ways I feel like her strength and vulnerability helped me understand what my mom may have gone through. It’s interesting how your closure can be connected to someone’s experience, the answers you never got, or the perspectives you never heard. The fact that I’m alive to see another year is a blessing! Thank you Lord! And I welcome the wisdom that comes with this new era, while bringing all that I learned from before. 💕

So I met my mentor at the last week 🌱

Ashaala Shanae is a celebrity vocal health coach, gospel recording artist, and CEO who helps singers and speakers protect, perfect, and profit from their voice while advocating for faith, creativity, and mental wellness.

Honored to be in proximity of a true boss lady like her, but this is how I know God is real. I prayed about my mentorship this season because at the start of it - I was EXTREMELY OVERWHELMED. Balancing motherhood, hustling, and going after all of my many dreams, I wasn’t showing up the way I should. But I gave it to God.

Sure enough, not only do I get a life changing call from a prominent organizer in Miami to perform and share my original song, and gift with the audience - I turn to my left of the stage and see the one and only Coach Ashaala Shanae! Now a couple weeks before I sang this EXACTLY same song for her on a Tuesday night call for her community, and the point of it, was to perform as if you are getting ready for a audition or performance! And guess what yall? A couple weeks later I performed that exact same song, prepared less than 48 hours, from a call that came in SUDDENLY.

I share this story because JUST when you feel like giving up, JUST when you feel like it’s no point to practice or prepare because you felt like all hope is gone, IS THE VERY MOMENT - God will do a BIG SUDDENLY.

So keep going, keep your faith, keep practicing, keep showing up as your best self even when it’s hard, because you never know what God is working on in the background. 💚

Happy Friday! It’s been almost two years since I’ve had my son. ♥️

My postpartum journey has been filled with highs and lows. But so grateful for my progress!

As my 30th birthday quickly approaches, I just want to take a minute to celebrate myself for not giving up on my fitness journey. I still have a long way to go, but I’m well on my way!

Quick story about the dress…. (For those that care) this was my actual performance dress for the that I performed at, but I ended up wearing the jacket you see on stage, because the strap POPPED! Yes, POPPED. As I was getting in it for soundcheck. Now the old me would have lost it. COMPLETELY freaked out, and probably cried. Messed up my make up etc. But this is how I know I’m growing. I kept my composure, looked for the next best solution, kept my great energy and let the show GO ON.

It took me to almost 30 years old to get to this point of peace within myself. And that’s something to celebrate. Ladies, celebrate yourself for the HARD WORK you do that no one sees, let nothing steal your shine, and keep making history! Stream “You” by Pae Murray
