We are proud of the youth, volunteers and families who make Meigs County 4-H such a great place to learn, lead and grow!

Interested in starting a new 4-H club in 2027 or volunteering with an existing club? Applying to be a Meigs County 4-H Volunteer is the first step! Visit go.osu.edu/meigsnewvol to apply to become a new volunteer. Existing or new volunteers should also email Mackenzie to let her know that you are interested in starting a new club.

Applications must be submitted by midnight on December 1. Additional details about the volunteer screening, selection, and training process can be obtained by emailing Mackenzie at [email protected] or calling 740-992-6696.

Calling all young chefs!

Join the Meigs County 4-H Food Challenge Team and put your creativity, teamwork, and cooking skills to the test! Participants will work together to create a delicious dish using mystery ingredients while racing against the clock.

-Build cooking skills
-Learn nutrition and food safety
-Develop teamwork and public speaking skills
-Gain confidence in the kitchen and beyond

Open to 4-H youth ages 8-18 (division requirements apply).

Grazing Night is coming up!

Join us October 20th for an evening of grazing education, good food, and conversation with Jason Jones and Garth Ruff.

Dinner is free, but an RSVP is required by October 15th. Call Meigs SWCD at 740-992-4282 to reserve your spot.

Michelle is at Farm Science Review today and ready to share about the fun partnerships that happen in Meigs County to make Cops & Bobbers happen each spring.

If it is safe for you to venture this way, she will also be in the Ag Safety Tent later today so be sure to stop & say Hi! If you find her today, she may have some goodies to share too.

If it is not safe for you to get out yet, we are crossing all of our fingers for a break in this weather. Stay safe, Friends!

IMPORTANT REMINDER—Tonight 9/21 is livestock check pick-up from 6-7pm.

🔴 We understand that some people will not be able to make it due to current conditions around the county.

🔴 Remember if you are picking up someone else’s check, please have a signed permission letter with you from the family you are picking up for.

🔴 Pick up will be held in the end of the Thompson Roush Building. Please park outside the fence in front of the county garage.

🔴 Any check not picked up will be mailed.

UPDATE: We are open as of 9:30 AM! Feel free to stop in as needed, but forget: turn around, don't drown!

Our physical office will be opening on a delay this morning, 9/21, due to flooding. However, all staff will be available by phone and email. We will update when our website/Facebook when we are able to open. Stay safe!
