As I edit my clients’ daughter’s first birthday session, I can’t help but remember their beautiful traditional baby shower last year.
Such a lovely and vibrant gathering of family and friends.

With prayer I was inspired to create this simple graphic expressing my heart and acknowledging the chasm that is still very real in our nation today. I believe this is not a “stay in your lane” issue because it affects us all in ways we may or may not see. As humans we should recognize and stand against racism, racial injustice and the systematic oppression of black communities. I will humbly continue to educate myself on these matters, use my voice for good and respectfully listen.
