Days like this make my job as an architectural designer fun. I love seeing the first steps of my concept sketch becoming a built reality. 🙌🏼 My awesome client, his buddies, and I staked out the foundation for this future hurricane resilient house on a lake just outside of Galveston on Friday. We’ve still got a way to go but I can hardly wait to see my energy-efficient and Modern architectural design constructed. ☀️

Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining a panel of design experts to discuss ways to transform space to promote physical, mental, and spiritual health. This event was part of The Global Entrepreneurship Week series at The University of North Texas Health Science Center.

Many audience members were highly engaged with several questions. They reflected on their own experiences discovering wellness design as a necessity. Some shared their stories of chemical sensitivity to their environment and the need for an interior designer, like myself, who can help them create stunning spaces with wellness at the core.

Wellness design is not a trend, but is here to stay, as knowledge and awareness of the science on the health impacts of one’s environment grows. 🤓✨🌱

As an interior wellness designer, I help people with such ailments to design their homes and commerical spaces to reduce chemical sensitivity, while making the space look fabulous.
