Would you run your own AI if you generated your own power?
On our latest GRIDWISE episode, we looked at why generation companies may end up running their own models with Jim Smelley and Matthew Goldman. Utilities already sit on massive telemetry from lines, transmission centers, and plants. Making sense of it with sophisticated AI is expensive, and the best way to control that cost is to run the models internally.
The companies that own the power and the data may be best positioned to own the models too.

What an evening! 🎬
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the DFW screening of "Breaking The Code" by Ben Rekhi.
Having Kanwal Rekhi in the room made the screening even more special. His story and his impact on the entrepreneurial community continue to inspire so many, and it was an honor to celebrate it together here in Dallas.
A special thank you to TiE Dallas, Raj Asava with HungerMitao, and every guest who came out to be part of it. We're grateful to be part of a community that champions entrepreneurship, giving back, and the power of a great story.

Breaking the Code tells the true story of Kanwal Rekhi — the first Indian to fight his way to the top of big tech and take a company public in Silicon Valley. Facing extraordinary prejudice on his rise through the ranks, he also confronted immense challenges at home and in family. His journey defied the odds to change perceptions of Indians globally, sparking an entrepreneurial revolution that helped propel India into the global superpower it is today.
Want to be part of the only private screening in the DFW area? Visit https://www.cginfinity.com/breakingthecode to join the waitlist for limited free seats to the showing on Friday, October 2nd in Plano.
