Sharing some Summer Percussion Ensemble photos from over the years to announce this years dates.

The Summer Percussion Ensemble is a 4-day program that gives young percussionists a chance to learn, and play a wide variety of instruments in a fun, supportive, small group environment. This is a great summer opportunity to build on skills acquired during the school year in private lessons and/or in a band program. This session is ideal for students with 1 at least one year of school band, or 3 months of private lessons.

Session 1 - June 22-25 (Mon through Thur, 9:00-Noon)
Additional sessions may be added if there's additional interest.

Chloe and I got to play Footloose The Musical studio together last week! Thanks TCA Theater for inviting us out to play.

My acoustic drum setup was pretty standard, with a cowbell, woodblock, tambourine and triangle added.

Chloe's book called for marimba, xylophone, vibraphone, glockenspiel, multiple timpani, congas, chimes, industrial sounds, cowbell, tambourine, triangle, and more. The Pearl/Adams was a great substitute for the many large instruments, and fit perfectly in the tight space.
