Cindy presented Public Relations of Project management at last week's Fort Worth PMI Professional Development Day - June 23. What a great event and great turn out. Well run by the planning committee as usual. Great job everyone!

We wrapped up our SMU quick take series with session #3 - Work the Plan which covered status meetings, performance reporting, communications, deliverable acceptance, scope change control, and project closing. We again had a very good turn out and got great comments afterward. All in all truly enjoyed the opportunity to present at SMU and look forward to more appearances in the future.

Our SMU Quick take session #2 - Plan the Work, went very well on Wednesday. We had around 20 return attendees from the first session plus a few newcomers. We populated all our templates with sample content from a mock project as an example. Everyone seemed to respond well to that.

The last session in the series is April 27th - Work the Plan, where we will cover ex*****on monitoring & Control, and project closing.

•How to manage project status and developing problems

•What to do when things get off track

•Why it's important to keep stakeholders and sponsors informed on progress
