🦅 Oh, so much learning and fun! Here's a little glimpse 👀 into our week...

🛝 We all soaked up the cooler temperatures during outdoor recess! The smiles say it all, and 4th grade’s slide pictures are positively electrifying! ⚡️

🎢 Ms. Roderick’s 3rd graders put their teamwork and creativity to the test with a collaborative Mind Mission! Their challenge: design an amusement park with five fun activities and create a plan worthy of winning the company president’s approval!

✏️ Mrs. Sly’s procedural text lesson brought some of the best giggles as she followed students’ written directions exactly! Students quickly discovered that details matter and revised their steps before things got too messy!

🔋 Mrs. Rains’s 5th grade scientists experimented with batteries, wires, and bulbs to discover what makes a complete electrical circuit! They put their problem-solving skills to work, with plenty of bright “aha!” moments along the way! 💡

📚 Historical fiction sparked thoughtful literary discussions in Mrs. Rhoades’s 4th grade class! Students connected their reading to the world around them.

🎨 Our 2nd graders explored how narrative art tells stories through pictures! Art and storytelling came together as they learned how images can share a story.

🎃 Check out Ms. Garcia's Counselor Corner for October! 🫶
Also, wear your favorite College T-shirt on Wednesday, October 7th!

🦅🏆 Our first A-Team dad of the school year set the bar high! Mr. Wong (Astrid’s dad) braved the morning carpool lane, helped in classrooms, and joined students in art during AMPEd! 🚗📚🎨

He was a true team player, jumping in to help wherever he could! He was having so much fun that he stayed the whole day! 👏🏻

Thank you, Mr. Wong, for sharing your time and enthusiasm with us! 💙

💐 Happy National Custodian Appreciation Day! 💐

Agustina and Sylvia truly make Andrews shine! 🌟 From tackling messes big and small to keeping our school ready for another day of learning, they sweep us off our feet with all they do! We are so appreciative of their hard work and care for our school. 💜
