Your nervous system shapes how you feel, respond, and move through your day, and most of us were never taught how to actually work with it.
In honor of Mental Health Month (May) I created Rooted & Regulated, a class designed to bridge women’s mental health with simple, practical tools you can use in real life.
We’ll walk through how your nervous system works and how to support it in a way that feels sustainable, not overwhelming.

Hello everyone
I know a lot of people around here are joining gyms right now — VASA, Crunch, Anytime, Lifetime, etc.
A lot of people sign up… walk in… and realize they’re not really sure what to do.
Or maybe you’ve been there before — walked into a gym and had the same questions…
and just couldn’t seem to stay consistent.
I’ve been doing this for over 20 years — personal training, working in gyms, managing fitness equipment stores, installing and servicing equipment, and training clients in their homes.
One of the biggest things in my experience is many people aren’t lazy.
They just don’t have a clear plan that works with their life schedule. They also want big results in short time which will mostly result in stopping all together.
Other
No real structure.
And then people go all-in for a few weeks…
burn out… and fall right back off.
Find a system you can actually stick to for life.
Not something that looks intense for a few weeks — something you can keep doing even when life gets busy.
And this isn’t just for beginners —
a lot of people who’ve been training for years still don’t have real structure.
Because let’s be real — most of us don’t have time to schedule sessions, line things up, and rely on someone else just to get a workout in.
You need something you can run on your own time.
That’s why I built my training “reprograms.”
You pull it up on your phone at the gym and follow it:
• Step-by-step workouts
• Exercise demos built in
• You can reach out to me if you get stuck
• No scheduling — just train when it fits your life
Simple. Structured. Repeatable.
If you just signed up somewhere or you’ve struggled to stay consistent, just comment or message me — I’ll help point you in the right direction.

Always recommend movement after eating. You’ll feel the difference.
Great info here. Thank you and credit William Wallace, Ph.D.
Give him a follow.
Your muscles clear glucose in two different ways after a meal.
Most people only use one.
When you sit after eating, glucose disposal depends almost entirely on insulin signaling from the pancreas. That pathway works, but it has limited capacity, which is why post-meal glucose spikes are higher and longer.
When you move after eating, even lightly, a second pathway turns on in parallel.
Muscle contraction independently activates glucose transporters (GLUT4), allowing glucose to enter muscle without waiting for insulin. The result is faster clearance, lower peaks, and less strain on the pancreas.
What’s happening under the hood:
• Muscle contraction triggers GLUT4 translocation
• Glucose enters muscle directly
• Blood glucose falls more quickly
• Insulin demand is reduced, not replaced
This isn’t about burning calories or “earning” food. It’s about using the physiology you already have. Walking after meals doesn’t override insulin. It adds another clearance pathway.
That’s why timing matters.

I use Levels and Kaged mostly which are not on here. Look for 3rd party tested protein/supplements.
Protein powders, shakes contain high lead levels, analysis found A new Consumer Reports investigation found protein powders and shakes have a concerning level of lead. Here are the products that were tested and what CR found.
