Interested in becoming an Operator? Apply to the WPA Operating Engineers JATP Apprenticeship! Applications for the Spring 2027 class are due December 31, 2026.

Applications being accepted for the Spring 2027 Class. Deadline is December 31, 2026 to apply. Orientations start in April, May, and June 2027.

On September 3, 2026, Apprentices Mikayla Stickley, Frances Sweeny, Autumn Thimons, and Bella Steele-Haller installed the bucket pictured at the Main Office in honor of Tammy Geanangel. Tammy was a dedicated member of Local 66, serving as a dispatcher and Director of Marketing, until her passing in 2018. We thank these ladies, under the guidance of Mechanic Instructor Rich Layton at WPA Operating Engineers JATP, for the refurbishment and installation, Plum Contracting, Inc. for donating the bucket, and Master Welder & Brother Delron Higgins for the welding and repairs.

Kokosing is partnering with Pittsburgh’s Local 66 Operators Union and Local 1058 Laborers Union to host a Workforce Hiring Event at Hookstown Fairgrounds on August 28 and 29.

May Drug Testing Dates are up!

Mobile Medical's unit is traveling to the locations in the photo to provide annual drug testing for union members. You may visit ANY of the testing sites listed on the attached flyer to complete your annual drug screen.

They have arranged this mobile service to make the process more convenient and ease the burden of reaching a collection facility.
