🌸 Our next Hard Hat Mom Spotlight is Jennifer Landau, President of Landau Building Company! Jen embodies the definition of being a working mom in the industry. Starting as a co-op student at Landau in 1999, Jen has worked her way up through various roles (project engineer, estimator, project manager, and vice president) before recently becoming president. 💪 

Jen has a daughter at home and strives to be a voice for other women in the industry: “In construction not every decision comes with all the information. Trust your experience, ask the right questions, and move forward with confidence.”

🌸 Our next Hard Hat Mom Spotlight is Kyra Sarver of TEDCO Construction Corporation! 🌸 

If you have been to any industry event, odds are that you have bumped into Kyra! She takes her role as VP of Client Relations to the next level - always finding the time to stop into an event, engage in meaningful conversations, and create real relationships! ✨ 

Kyra shows the same kind of enthusiasm at home with her daughter, Goldie, and said this when asked about the balance of work and being an involved mom at home: 
“Rather than thinking of it as “balancing” work and home life, I prefer a more integrated, harmonious approach—being open with colleagues and clients while recognizing that we all have priorities beyond work. At the same time, I believe strongly in setting boundaries and being intentional with my time. I make it a point to dedicate certain evenings each week to my daughter, because being present for those moments is just as important as showing up professionally. (So if you’re planning an event, Tuesdays are already spoken for 😊)”

Over the last 10 years in the construction industry, Angela’s journey has extended far beyond the jobsite. When asked how she balances career and family, she shared:

The MBA Green Builders & Young Constructors Committees took time on Friday to celebrate 🌳Earth Day🌳 and give back to our community! The committees teamed up with The Allegheny County Parks Foundation to plant 150 trees at South Park.
We are thankful for our continued partnership with ACPF and for our amazing MBA committee members for taking time out of their busy schedules to volunteer for a great cause.🌻

The MBA Young Constructors Committee took part in the 2026 Polar Plunge on Friday, February 27th! 🐻‍❄️ They had a great time meeting Pirate Parrot, networking with other plungers, and most importantly, supporting !

The group raised $800, and is excited to participate next year with more committee members!🎉
