Last week, members of the SACP and SSP gathered at the Pittsburgh Zoo for our annual wrap-up/kick-off meeting, celebrating another successful year and looking ahead to what's next. πŸ¦πŸ”¬

A highlight of the evening was the ceremonial passing of the torch from outgoing SACP Chair Neal Dando and SSP Chair C.B. Wang to incoming SACP Co-Chairs Josh Imperatore and Jordan Boothe.

Thank you to Neal and C.B. for their outstanding leadership and dedication over the past year. We look forward to an exciting year ahead under Josh and Jordan's leadership!

We were honored at the SACP-SSP May Meeting to receive the Salute to Excellence Award from the American Chemical Society Pittsburgh Section πŸ‘

This recognition highlights our continued commitment to supporting science education, advancing public appreciation of chemistry, and partnering with the local scientific community.

The award was presented by Dr. Ronghong Lin (ACS Pittsburgh Local Section President) to Dr. C.B. Wang (SSP Chair) and Dr. Neal Dando (SACP Chair).

Thank you to the ACS Pittsburgh Section for this incredible honor! πŸ”¬

We had a fantastic time hosting our annual educator workshops at Pittcon HQ! πŸ™Œ

From hands-on spectroscopy activities for younger students to advanced software tools and lab simulations for high school classrooms, it was all about giving teachers practical, engaging ways to connect students with science. πŸ”¬πŸ’»

And of course, sending everyone home with tools, materials, and ideas they can use right away.

Thank you to all the educators who joined us and continue to inspire the next generation!
