๐ŸŒŸ **New Community Resource Coming to the Hilltop!** ๐ŸŒŸ

Carrick Community Council is excited to share that Jeremiah's Place, Southwestern Pennsylvaniaโ€™s only crisis nursery providing free, 24/7 emergency childcare for children ages 0โ€“6, will soon be expanding into the Hilltop community!

To better serve families across Pittsburgh, Jeremiahโ€™s Place is opening a new satellite location in partnership with the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center this summer in Knoxville.

As they prepare to launch, they are hosting an Open Enrollment Event:

๐Ÿ“… Tuesday, June 10
๐Ÿ•™ 10:00 AM โ€“ 2:00 PM
๐Ÿ“ Knoxville Library

Families are encouraged to attend to learn more and register ahead of the official opening.

In addition to providing emergency childcare, Jeremiahโ€™s Place connects families to trusted community resources. They are also looking to build strong local referral partnerships and would welcome connections with organizations serving Hilltop residents.

If your organization would like to be part of their referral network, please reach out so we can help connect you.

Please feel free to share widely with families who may benefit ๐Ÿ’™

This week is Fraser Livestock week. Every 2 weeks, consider buying your meat from this amazing rancher from New Bethlehem. He needs $1,000 in sales each market to motivate him to keep coming. 2 weeks ago he got $600, which is great, but I know Carrick can help him meet his goal because his price is fair and meat delicious.

We also will have our first alcohol vendor, Brother Monk Ciderworks, whose products would make an excellent Father's Day gift.

The Jodikinos are back with their diverse offering of produce and the CCC table will also be there offering local honey, root beer and Hilltop Urban Farm produce from just 5 minutes down the road.

Keep up the momentum from last week's great attendance and support local farmers. All the patrons last week really gave it a true market feel. ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ“ฃ Join Us for Carrick Community Councilโ€™s Quarterly Public Meeting!

One of the highlights of this month's meeting will be an update on the Carrick Neighborhood Plan. Over the past several months, Carrick Community Council and Hilltop Alliance have been working with RePlace Urban Studio to gather community input and develop a shared vision for Carrickโ€™s future.

Come hear about what we've learned so far, what themes are emerging, and how you can help shape the next phase of the planning process. Whether you've participated before or are just hearing about the plan for the first time, we'd love to have you join the conversation.

Plus, hear updates from community partners, local officials, and CCC initiatives happening throughout the neighborhood.

See you June 23rd! ๐Ÿ˜๏ธโœจ
