Big news for Mt. Alvernia! We've been awarded a $3 million state grant through the PA Department of Community & Economic Development's Mixed-Use Revitalization Program, helping pave the way for the redevelopment of this historic 24-acre campus in Millvale and Shaler.

This support, made possible in part through the PA Housing Action Plan and Governor Shapiro, is a meaningful step toward restoring the 1897 motherhouse. We've been working hard to restore the space while honoring its architectural history and deep ties to the surrounding neighborhoods.

Grant funding will go toward sitework, stormwater management, and clearing secondary structures to help us reach our financing goals for Phase 1.
