Do your gutters and valleys look this? With all the rain recently, this could cause overflowing and also lead to wet basements. With nicer weather, it’s a good time to get up there and check them out. If you see water spraying out of downspout joints during a rain storm, get it checked out.

Pittsburgh has a lot of old houses built with old growth lumber. Obviously the sizes are different now but also interesting to see the old growth rings vs the faster grown trees of today’s lumber. A good reason why so many old houses in our area are showing the test of time.

Do you have a lead water line? This bulb on the water line is a good indication you have a lead pipe supplying water to your house. Just another reason to have a home inspection!
